I am thankful for
the Prophet Joseph Smith, especially regarding the
restoration of the gospel in its fulness. I am thankful that
he had the courage, despite his youth, to share his
testimony even with people who laughed at him, and that he
never stopped bearing his testimony. I am thankful that I
know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was strengthened by the
Lord in all the suffering that he had to endure. He is an
example for me in all that I have endured in my own life and
which I will yet have to endure. I am thankful that I have
an example to show me that Christ, our Father in Heaven, and
the Holy Ghost will be with me in this life. I am thankful
for the Prophet Joseph Smith and his testimony and his
courage and his strength and the dedication which he showed
to the end of his life and which he sealed with his
death. It made me so sad when I learned of this, but I am
thankful for the testimony he left. And I know that it
really is true.
